About David Mann

David Anthony Mann Sr. is a gospel singer, actor and comedian born August 7, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. Best known for his comic role as Mr. Leroy Brown in Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns and the Madea franchise, he also sang in Kirk Franklin’s ensemble “The Family”. In 2018 he released his first joint album with wife Tamela—Us Against the World. He’s won multiple NAACP Image Awards for acting and has Dove Awards for gospel production.
